~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This is just a page of Paint Shop Pro Doodles I made that I wanted to show off. Nothing special. Just personal do-dads.
~! Nothing here is up for grabs !~
It's like a personal art gallery.
Have a look around. Enjoy your visit. 8-)

This is a Vector Art actual representation of my PC cabinet area here at the Pink house. Everything you see below is really here!
The image shown on the monitor is the resized screen shot of the making of this image.
The photo on top is a resized image of the photo of my son that sits atop the PC cabinet. And yes, I really have a miniture log cabin and the two oil lamps up there.
This took about 4 hours to complete.
That's one of my Doxie's, Oscar, laying on the rug.
The Doxie was a separate project. He took a couple of hours. Oscar is my attempt at duplicating one of the figurines I have of Dachshunds from "A Breed Apart".

This is my Oscar, "A Breed Apart", Doxie project from above.

This is not one of my bathrooms.
It's one of my first vector art learning projects.
I don't know why I chose a bathroom to practice on, but it was a fun/funny thing to do to learn with.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The toilet was especially difficult. Nothing looked just right, so I went with the best version.

Here are other versions of the clay pot and foilage from the bathroom.

This next image is another of my Doxies. Jellybean.
Ain't he cute??? LOL!
The second image is a screen shot of my workspace in Paint Shop, after I got all the vector parts arranged but, before I finished and added all the shading.
All in all, this image took about 6 hours, split into 3 days.
I know because I started working on it each day when my favorite Soap come on at 11:00 and worked through the 12:00 news. LOL!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This Dachshund was one of my first attempts at vector drawing and spray shading.
As you can see from previous images, I did get better! LOL!

This is a second attempt on the image above.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Next up is not a vector drawing.
This is another Doxie of mine, {I have 5}, named, Knick-Knack.
I took a scanned photo of Knick-Knack, and on another layer, drew an oultine of the image.
Then I took that basic outline and tried to make it look like something close, but cartoonish, to the real photo.
This was done using many layers, colors and options of the spray paint tool in Paint Shop pro 7.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Of course every pooch needs treats!
I made these "Yummy Bones" from two vector hearts and a vector rectangle.
This is a perfect simple example of why I like vectors so much.
This image started out level. Vectors can be twisted and manipulated without losing clarity. I made and saved the basic shape as a PSP file. Then I twisted it about and recolored it. After that, I copied the first one and added several more to create a dividing image.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

More playing with vectors and shading.
I have no dea what this is, but I think I saw an image of something like it and came up with this while practicing manipulating vectors into human-like shapes and shading techniques.
I just called it a "Whutsit" LOL!
The first image is while I was working on shaping the parts. Each piece is an individual layered, vector shape, able to be manipulated separately.

I kept trying to make people looking things. I think I'll stick to "cute". So far anything delicate and finely detailed is beyond me, as evidenced by the start of this one.
Go ahead and laugh. I did! That's why I scrapped the body and just did a bust.
The hair on this image started out a green twisty garden hose tube.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

In my WWW travels, I saw many cute "dolls" and fairies and their habitats. I always loved tiny images and obviously wasn't getting the hang of big ones. So I tried making a small fairy-like creature. Sprites are what I call them. Of course they needed a house, so I did the mushroom house.

Other Sprites I made can be seen HERE.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This was the image for my first layout. The "Peekin'In" Bear.

This ia a screen shot of my Paint Shop work area when I created the bear image.
As you can see, it all starts with just a bunch of colored shapes.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I hope you enjoyed this look at some of how and what I do.
Please note that, though I did learn to do many things from tutorials found on the world wide web, I did not use any tutorials in the making of any of these images. I only took what I had learned and used it to make things I liked.

Never believe that an old dog can not learn new tricks.
With a tiny bit of effort, imagination has no limits!

Real pictures of all my Dachshunds and other pets can be seen HERE.
