Making A Glitter Tile
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
This tutorial was written for Paint Shop Pro version 7.
I'm know it will work for 8 and 9, but I still like 7 better so that is where I did this tutorial. If you know 8 or 9 better, feel free to try it out there.
Let's begin, shall we? 8-)
All you need is Paint Shop Pro, version 7
and
Jasc Animation Shop 3
Open a new file 25 x 25
Flood fill with a light color.
I like to start with blue because it colorizes to other colors so well.
~ Step 2 ~
Now go to Effects... Noise... Add.
50%. Uniform.
~ Step 3 ~
Change the color? OK!
Colors... Colorize... Choose your Hue and Saturation.
Hue is color. Saturation is how light or bold.
~ Step 4 ~
Copy Layer 1. CTRL C
Paste back as a new layer. CTRL L
Now you have two layers.
On layer 2.
Image. Rotate. Left 90*
~ Step 5 ~
Paste layer 1 again CTRL L, to make layer 3.
~ Step 6 ~
Layer 3.
Image... Flip.
~ Step 7 ~
Click on Layer 2.
Copy Layer 2. Ctrl C
Click on Layer 3.
Patse as new Layer. Ctrl L.
Now you have 4 layers.
~Step 8 ~
Image... Mirror.
You should have one image, with 4 layers. Like so..
~ Step 9 ~
Save this file as a .psp image
~ Step 10 ~
Open your .psp image in Animation Shop.
Those layers have now become the separate frames for our animation!
Cool, eh?
~ Step 11 ~
You can fiddle with the frame speed by selecting all and then Animation.. Frame Properties... Display Time.
I left mine at 10.
You can click on the little film strip tool to view your animation now if you like.
Oooh... pretty glitter!
Make sure you have the animation properties set for loop.. repeat animation indefinitly.
Save as a .gif
It's a really small file size!
Enjoy!
You can also use other colors and tiny shapes to your first layer.
Then just follow the rest of the tutorial.
See this red white and blue one I did.
You are welcome to save this one if you like.
HEY!?
Now what to do with it?
Check out the next Tute!
