PSP Candy Corn

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Easy Candy Corn By: ~Pink~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ This Tutorial can be done in Paint Shop Pro 7 or 8 Probably 9 too. The screen shots are from version 8 To make a candy corn is really easy. Open new image. Transparent. 200 x 200 I started with a vector triangle. Fill, white or light color. Stroke, orange. {if you want to make a transparent bg gif with your finished image UN-check antialias!} Make your triangle. Now chose the node edit tool in 7 or pen tool in 8. Left click on your image... node edit.. Node Edit... left click on each of the 3 nodes and do this to each... Node Type... Symmetric That will make the points curved. Convert to raster layer Choose the color you want for the middle of your candy corn. Put that color as your stroke. Turn off fill. Then with the pen line draw tool set to single line, width 1, vector... draw a line across near the top. Node edit. Put yout cursor on the middle of the line. You will see a wiggle shaped line. Press your shift key until you see the word "ADD".. click. It adds a node. Now left click on that new node and ... node type... symmetric. Click and hold that node.. pull down woth your mouse a bit to curve it. Add another line the same way near the bottom. Merge layers. Flood fill each space with desired candy corn colors. With the magic wand {set to tolerance 0} Click on the outline to select... go up to.. [Selections] ... select similar. That should select all of the outline color. It may select the middle color also if that is your outline color, but that's ok. Use your paint brush set to like 5 or so and color the outline of the top the same color as the top of your candy corn.. just down to where your middle color starts.. Select the color you used for the middle and color in the outline to match the middle.. Now use your bottom color for bottiom bit of the outline. Ctrl D to deselect. Use the magic want to select the top area of color. Shift F to float. Go up to [Effects]... cut out... no fill... just use shadow in a darker color... set the vert & horz until you like the look I think I used 0 and -6... I used a #20 on blur. Do it again to the same selection but change the -6 to just plain 6. Ctrl D to deselect. Do that to the other 2 sections with the shado colors of your choice. That's it! Now you can do what you like with it. You can even export it as a tube file if you want. [File]... export... picture tube... Name it and ok.
